"The crown chakra is also the gateway to super-consciousness—a state of being where it is no longer possible to experience yourself as separate from anything or anyone"

Stephanie Synder

what is crown chakra?

Lets dive straight in shall we! the human body is a magnificent creation that has fascinated philosophers, scientists, and spiritual communities for all of time.

One aspect of the human body that has captured the imagination of generations of scholars and spiritual seekers alike is the chakra system. The chakra system is a complex network of energy centres that are believed to regulate our physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.

At the top of this chakra system sits the crown chakra, also known as the Sahasrara chakra. The crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is associated with the colour violet or white, and is often referred to as the "thousand-petaled lotus" because of its complex structure.

From a purely physical perspective, the crown chakra is associated with the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, which is located deep within the brain. The pituitary gland is known as the master master gland, responsible for regulating the entire endocrine system, which control important functions such as our sexual function, stress, energy levels, blood pressure and growth.

It is also believed to play a role in our spiritual experiences, and is closely linked to the insights and anatomy of the third eye chakra, and pineal glandular functions.

However, the crown chakra is much more than just a physical gland. It is believed to be the seat of our connection to the divine and to our higher selves. When the crown chakra is balanced, we experience a sense of deep peace, connectedness, and are more attuned to, and open to spiritual awakenings.

how can i activate my crown chakra?

To balance the crown chakra, many spiritual practices focus on meditation, prayer, and cultivating a connection to the divine.

The crown chakra is a complex energy centre that is both physical and ethereal,

this point of energy is essentially, how we tap into our spiritual connection to the divine.

When we focus on balancing the energy of this chakra, we can experience a deep sense of peace, connectedness, and profound spiritual awakening.

Here are some wonderful spiritual and physical practices that can help activate your crown chakra.

  1. Meditation: Meditation is a powerful tool to connect with your inner self and the divine. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and focus on your breath. Visualize a bright, white light shaft of light pouring in through the crown of your head, filling your body and surrounding you with healing and divine intelligence.

  2. Yoga: Practicing yoga postures, such as headstand (Sirsasana), shoulder stand (Sarvangasana), and lotus pose (Padmasana), can stimulate the crown chakra, through direct pressure and grounding.

  3. Magical sound healing: Simply listening to chanting, singing bowls, and other sounds that resonate with the crown chakra can help activate the energy through divine frequency.

  4. Affirmations: It can have a truly transformative effect when reciting positive affirmations such as "I am connected to the divine" or "I trust my intuition" can help open and balance the crown chakra, traditionally you would say the affirmation 108 times, for maximum penetration into the subconscious.

  5. Time spent in nature: Spending time in nature can help you connect with the divine and activate your crown chakra. Walking barefoot on the grass or sand can help to earth you, breathing in the fresh air, and feeling the sun on your skin is a way to see the magical of universal energy all around you, I like to really tune in by engaging my senses, and asking myself what can I see, smell, taste, hear and feel.

  6. Visualization: One beautiful visualize to use is, imagine a magnificent lotus flower glowing bright white and filled with light radiating from the crown of your head, expanding and filling your entire body and aura.

  7. Chanting: The vibration created through chanting, physically stimulates the glands within the brain, and the frequency and magic of the words you chant, unlock the door to your super consciousness, you can use complex mantra, or simply chant AUM x 108 times.

Remember to approach these practices with an open and receptive mindset.

Consistent practice can help activate and strengthen your connection to your crown chakra, opening you up to a more spiritual and ethereal experience of life.

"Mediating on the crown chakra is the bridge that connects us to our universal consciousness"
